Antonia's E-mail.
Antonia lives in South Dakota.
She has always been very supportive of this song ministry.
The following E-mail from her, was addressed to other Christians on Yahoo Messenger who have volunteered themselves to assist Cathy throughout The U.S.A.
When we decide to approach people and talk to them about The Antioch Song Ministry there are several things that we should remember....When approaching someone online for the first time, always read their entire profile first. We should all read Celestino's e-mail entitled "Approach" again to refresh our memories on how to do a proper I.M. box presentation. At all times, whether approaching someone online, over the telephone or in person, we need to maintain our dignity and use our God-given intelligence.
Our goal is to reach Christians in the fifty United States. So, Let Us Discern. When we encounter those who are not Christian, not in the United States or simply not interested, we should politely thank them for their time and move on.
As Celestino pointed out in his e-mail entitled "The Lord is OUR Strength," satan will throw obstacles and distraction in the path of anyone who tries to assist this blessed ministry. A perfect example is how fearful Christians are in Yahoo. They refuse to give their REAL names, or say where they REALLY live.
The best advice I can offer is to be prepared. Anticipate questions. Read all the information that has been made available to us about The Antioch Song Ministry, including the Mission Statement and the Question and Answer page. The more knowledge we have, the more likely we are to capture people's attention and interest. So don't just read it, know it. If you do not know what the Mission Statement is, learn it, or at least know why funding is being raised through the sale of C.D.s in the U.S.A.
If you don't know who Gerry is, or what Celestino's full-time job is, or who took Celestino seriously enough to take three planes to Malaysia ..... if you don't know that Malaysia ain't in Ohio...don't approach people about T.A.S.M. until you do. If you do not know what "ecumenical" means, look it up. We have a wealth of information available to us, let's use it. So, Let Us Learn.
What I would like people to understand is that anytime we are speaking to another person about The Antioch Song Ministry, we need to do so in a professional manner. The way I see it, we are representing this ministry whenever we choose to speak about it, especially to someone who is not acquainted with T.A.S.M. When someone asks a pertinent question concerning the ministry, I pray that none of us ever responds with, "uhhh, i dunno," or forgets to give them the website. Do we want them to think that we are morons?
Celestino says............(.oOo.Celestino.oOo.) ...Malaysia: Antonia is correct ! - We do NOT want to give the impression that we are morons.
Being associated with this blessed ministry not only carries awesome blessings, but it also carries the responsibility of representing the ministry in a favorable light, i.e. professionalism.
The most important thing to remember is that we are servants of the Lord. Whatever we say and do is in His name and for His glory.
May we grow in love and servitude as we walk forever in His light. Amen
Antonia Rose
P.S. The fact that we ALL make mistakes should never be used as an excuse to be careless. So, Let us be about Our Father's business.
