My finalé sent to everyone on Yahoo Messenger was:
TO EVERYONE:- This is to inform you that the Yahoo Messenger I.D. "celestino_13" will be no longer available, as I have taken leave from The Antioch Song Ministry. - I apologize if I've said anything to offend anyone and I would like to thank each of you for your friendship, over the years. - Thank You; God Bless You; Peace Be Unto You! - and Goodbye. - 05/17/2005. ^:)^
And immediately, I received a response from a mobile phone in North Carolina: "Why?"
From Wyoming: "God bless you too",
From South Dakota: :((
and etc. etc. etc.
Well, After five long years of celestino_13 on Yahoo Messenger, I removed the entire Friends Lists and logged out, for the Very Last Time. It kinda felt like leaving office, actually. Oh well.
I suppose I could congratulate Veronica, Cathy, Gerry and Jessica for their achievements, but I think it's better to just remain silent and hold my peace.
The tongue can no man tame. - James 3:8.
The first synthesizer was created by Robert Moog, in 1968.
In the early days of synthesizers, sounds were created by using building blocks known as waveforms. These building blocks consisted of: A Sine wave, A Triangle Wave, A Sawtooth Wave and A PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) Wave. Sounds/Tones were processed through Amplitude (Loudness), Filters (Timbre - dull or brightness) and Envelope Generators. An Envelope Generator basically consists of FOUR elements: A.D.S.R. (Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release) which would be used to 'shape' the sound. I once owned a synth module which had SIX! - A.D.S.R. plus Break Point and Slope.
Most modern day synthesizers utilize the 'sampling' technology, whereby a sound (any sound, for that matter) is recorded, converted into a waveform, processed and stored on a memory chip inside the synthesizer. However, some modern day synthesizers have both Analog synthesis AND Digital playback Sampling. The L.F.O. (Low Frequency Oscillator) is a modulator, which can be used to alter the Pitch And Loudness of the sound to create Sirens, Helicopter, Vibrato/Tremolo effects and a host of other 'whooshing, banging and clanging' effects.
