Asking From Whom?

After reading today's article : http://www.rbc.org/odb/odb-06-16-05.shtml I can't help but think back to the beginning of 2002, when I felt that asking for financial help from a very select few in this country, was a good thing.
But was it???
No. It was an action which I never intend to repeat.
Promises were made - none were kept - hearts were hardened - and minds were closed.
But then again, in this day and age, why should it surprise me ?
I was simply 'asking from the wrong people.'
It would've been better for me to have asked from the unbelievers. Unfortunately, I knew none.
Today, I know better than to ask for anything from anyone...because, in one year from now, no one will care if I was still alive...or dead.
Those who say they do care, are just paying lip service unto themselves.
