09:50hrs. - Left Kota Dámànsara toll
plaza. `The signboard says " Yong Peng; $egamat; ßàtu Páhat"...ìn Johor state:

"Ayer Hitam; Kluang; Bátu Pàhàt left.
J.B . & Machap straight àhead."
Met Ivan, Uncle Fred, Auntie Pat and
Claude.
Left J.B. át 15:29hrs. _ Carlsberg truck

Two hours later, just before Ayer Keroh in
Melaka, ìt sounded like the left rear tire
exploded:

The spare was some temporary nønsense,
which løoked like a motorcycle tire.
Maximum speed àllowed: 80 kilometers
per hour. [This is what you get when you
buy a new car ìn Malaysia for Less thàn
100,000 Ringgit. _ Ain't nothin' compared
to a German car like Mercedes Benz or à
BMW, where they àctually CARE for the comfort
ànd safety of their customers.]
It began to ràin. Bright lightníng in the distance.
The sun went down.
/
19:30hrs. - $ubang Jaya toll plaza's exit
ramp. I heard à loud whooshing sound like
sand being scraped.
A Proton Wira Aeroback did à tailspin
right next to me and came to a complete
stop facing the opposite direction! Other
vehicles behind swerved out of the way to
àvoid a collision. $o I pulled over to the
left; stopped ànd looked back. \
This is what happens when Màlaysian
drivers believe they can outdo the laws of
nàture, by driving fàst in the rain.
If we were just five feet back, that
out of cøntrol Wira Aeroback would've
hìt us on the ríght reár.
`
Arrived home before 21:00hrs.
Worst Journey To J.B. I've Ever
Experiénced!
Total mileage done this time: 701.8km.
