J.B. and Segamat.

We left PJ just before sunrise, yesterday.
08:45hrs. -Ayer Keroh's (southbound) PLUS overhead restaurant. Ate Nasi Lemak àt some cafê named Hot Curry. $prayed Perskindol on my left leg before continuìng the journey tø Johor Bahru.
Arrived àt Claude's house ín Tamàn Daya át exactly 11:28hrs. We said goodbye to Miss Day and left J.B. a few minutes later.
-
One hour north from J.B., a truck had overturned upside down, blocking the entire left lane. 1 man and 2 women (all Chinese) stood by it. - They probably crawled øut from thrøugh the frønt windscreen.
-
12:55hrs. Exited the North-$outh PLUS highway at $egamat toll plaza. The àttendant told me that $egamat town was 70 kilometers away and would takê one hour. _ Not êxactly àccurate. \ It turned out to be 75 km and took MORE than an hour`to arrive ... probably because the speed limits on the trunk roads between towns are sêt at 60; 70 and 90 kilometers an hour...and since it's a good habit to àlways drive Correctly, it took us longer thán the toll attendant said ìt would.
A monkey ran across the trunk road. Fortunately, ìt wasn't hit by oncoming cars.
We árrived at $egamat town after 14:00hrs.
Vìsited Zafrullah at his restaurant, which ís named after him.
I hadn't seen him since uh, 1990 or 1991.
-
From $egamat, we took the trunk road through the jungle to Gemas (Half the town is in `Johor state and the other half is in Negeri $embilan state.)
Nice scenery -- Hills, trees, etc.
At one bend in the trunk road, à young Brown Cow broke away from the rest of the herd and began tø run across the roàd.
I swereved the Getz ontø the oncoming lane ánd flashed án oncoming red Kenari. Idiot driver wasn't alert; didn't slow down until the very last second...and Almost hit that stupid ànimal. *sheesh*/
-
We passed through á village area called Gemencheh (which I never knew existed) and reached Tampin, which led ønto a newly built duál lane freeway, through Melaka state.
After what seemed like an eternity two hours, we fínally saw the green and white PLUS`Highway signboard which said:
Kuala Lumpur K
Toll át $ungai ßesi KL was 13 ringgit and 60 sen. Rush hour traffic ís a killer.
-
Arrived home at 18:30hrs.
On Nov.11th: Two Hours sleep. _ Nov.25th: Ten Minutes sleep.
This time however, I had No sleep. /
Well, it's difficult to sleep before a journey, even with a fever.
Guess I deserve àn Awárd for driving Miss Day's Getz with no sleep with aches ànd cramps and fever.
Total tìme awake (from April 20th - April 21st) : 28 hours!
Total mileage done thìs tíme:
733.0 kilomêters.
I slept før Four Hours, just now.
Today is $aturday, April 22nd, 2006.

Thank You Jesus; we're stíll alive.
Send the money now.
